Ohio Valley Speedway Set to Open Gates with Test N' Tune
Its that time once again when the roar of race engines and the smell of the race fuel permeate thru the air at local dirt tracks across the country every Friday and Saturday Night. One of those short tracks located in Lubeck, WV known as the Ohio Valley Speedway will look to officially kick off the speedway’s 63rd season this Friday Night, April 9th with Test N’ Tune.
Be sure to come out and enjoy the 2021 kickoff as gates will open at 5pm with Test N’ Tune scheduled from 7pm -10pm as area racers will look to dial in their machines in preparation of the Season Opener on Friday Night, April 16th. Concessions will be open and General admission is FREE with Pit Passes priced at $20 and all classes of racecars are invited out to test on the new surface. In hopes of speeding up the registration process on Opening Night, the registration booth will be open for drivers convenience and Pit Parking spots will be on sale as well.
Make Ohio Valley Speedway your Friday Night home as we celebrate 63 years of short track excitement with the biggest season ever! A stacked schedule featuring all your favorite Ohio Valley events along with several Sprint Car shows including the Pete Smith Memorial and BOSS Non Wing Sprints as well as first time events such as Big Block Modifieds and Monster Trucks will make the ‘Valley’ the place to be on Friday Nights all summer long. The Ohio Valley Management Group have continued several track upgrades since last race season. A vast re-surfacing project took place last fall laying down new clay and widening the racing surface and this spring new guardrail and catchfence are currently going up in turns 3 and 4.

About OVS: Ohio Valley Speedway is a fast 3/8 mile dirt track located just south of Lubeck, WV on Rt. 68 south and Wadesville Road and races every Friday Night April thru September. Opened in 1958, and known by most as the ‘Valley’, the Mountain State gem has played host to some of the biggest names in open wheel and short track racing history over the years and parlays its quintessential paperclip configuration into terrific racing action nightly. While ushering in a new decade of short track excellence, the ‘Valley’ still maintains an aura of yesteryear and charm that come with six decades of motorsports history at one of West Virginia’s premier and stalwart short tracks.
