OVSCA Sprints, SCDRA Northeast Compact Tour & Monster Trucks Highlight Double Header Weekend at Ohio Valley Speedway
After a successful Greg Schilling Memorial this past Friday Night, the Ohio Valley Speedway will look to kick off the Memorial Weekend in grand fashion, with a Double Header. The action will get underway on Friday Night, May 28th for the ‘King of the Wing’ as we welcome back for the 2nd time in 2021 the OVSCA 410 Sprint Cars. Running along with the Sprints will be the first visit by the SCDRA Northeast Tour for Compacts and the running of the $2,500 to win West Virginia State Championship. Eager Compact racers from several states are expected for the event. Also running on Friday Night will be the Las Trancas Super Late Models, Pike Street Lanes Sportmods and Mike’s Auto Body WRA Mini Wedges, the UMP Mods are off.
Following with a first time ever event at the ‘Valley’ as on Saturday Night, May 29th we play host to the Monster Truck Racing League in a first ever family friendly Monster Truck show! An action packed program featuring Monster Trucks such as Backdraft, Amped Up and more in car crushing excitement. Gates open at 4pm with Driver Meet and Greet at 5pm and the action gets underway at 6:30pm. On top of the Monster Truck action we also will be racing the Mike’s Auto Body WRA Mini Wedges, UMP Modifieds, Pike Street Lanes Sportmods and EDGE Hotmods. Plus you’ll want to stick around for the 100 lap ‘Gut N’ Go Enduro Race to round out the program. General admission is $15 for adults and $10 for kids and pit admission priced at $25. Tickets may be purchased online at www.raceovs.com or the day of the show at the gate.
