Mother Nature Grabs 5th Checkered Flag of Season at Ohio Valley Speedway
Mega Front Row Challenge Up Next; Monster Mayhem Rescheduled
After several days of rain, Wood County flood watches and warnings and an 80% for more thunderstorms, the Ohio Valley Management Group are forced to cancel the ‘Driver Appreciation Night’ scheduled for Friday Night, June 11th. After a nice start to the season, Mother Nature has quickly become the leading feature winner on the season with its fifth cancelation of the year. Stay tuned for the possibility of the rescheduled ‘Driver Appreciation Night’.
Hopefully, the weather gods will turn off the rain and we can get back to some ‘Friday Night Lights’ racing action at the ‘Valley’ next week. A great slate of events are fast approaching including next Friday Night as the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour Mega ‘Front Row Challenge’ will roll into town. The UMP Modifieds will take center stage paying a healthy $2,000 to win along with the top two finishers locking into the front row of Saturday Night’s $10,000 to win ‘Mega 100’ at Tyler County Speedway. Some of the best UMP Modified racers in the country are expected to try their hand at the 3/8 mile paperclip on Friday Night, June 18th.
Also the rescheduled Monster Mayhem will now roll off on Friday Night, June 25th as we welcome the car crushing Monster Trucks of the Monster Truck Racing League to the ‘Valley’ for the first time. A great family fun night of excitement will also include racing action in the WRA Mini Wedges, UMP Modifieds, Sportmods and SCDRA 4 Cylinders. Gates will open at 3pm, with action getting underway at 6:30pm. Adult tickets are $15, with kids tickets (4-12) priced at $10 and kids 3 and under FREE. Tickets can be purchased online at www.raceovs.com.
